Tonewheeldude Moderator Registered: 01/21/10 Posts: 1537	nothing top secret about the ram at all. The only purpose for the ram is to load in .ins sounds. Please don't be misled into thinking its going to mean huge upgrades in the audyas capabilities. Unlike almost every other keyboard, the audya does not need ram expansion to load new guitar loops, audio loops, styles, mp3 or wav songs, etc etc, all these are stored on the hard drive which has bags of room. If you don't currently use the .ins sounds now you wont need the additional ram

Tonewheel, i THINK you are wrong about the guitar loops i think those are in RAM, and not on the HD but i'm not sure, anyone?

Judging by these demos, I have to say it's not the kind of sound I'd be crazy about, but then neither is the sound I love (Yamaha), one that you'd like very much. At least we both can agree that we like our respective choices, (me �� Yamaha, you �� Audya) more than we do Roland. I truly hope to get to play an Audya (and a Korg) in real life, as that's the best way to evaluate the instruments.
